well, it has gotten to be stale around here so i am also leaving.

i have no reason to stay because i have fulfilled my mission, to get my wife to see the truth about the truth.

you all have helped me out, and i thank you.. i will leave a few questions that perhaps no person can answer..... how can god have always exsisted?

How can God have always exsisted?

Did GOD create himself?

Where, on a time line, did the dinosaurs live? and how about prehistoric man?

Who really built the pyramids and how? (no, not c.t.r.'s pyramid)

Where did Adam and Eve's children find mates? Are we all inbreds?

Our solar system is a mere spec in our Galaxy, our Galaxy a mere spec in the Universe. How can we be sure there are no others?

Where and why did we get all the different races of man?

WAS Noahs flood local or cover the earth? If it covered the earth, then how did Native Indians get to be all the places they are found? Wouldn't the icecaps had to of melted for there to be a worldwide flood?

How can we as people, think that anyone of us can accurately translate ALL of the bible, call ourselves the truth and expect all of the fold to be saved? God is the ultimate judge. NOT WT.

being tne sarcastic semi-doubter bastard i am ,i thought i would satisfy a rebellious inkling in my soul i've wanted to satisfy at the kingdom hall from earliest teenhood i wore a flag pin under my suit jacket!whoa i thought, maybe i'll get caught!

that made it irrisistable!so yesterday i did it!

funny beneath all the smiles of my brothers and sisters was the beast of indignation waiting to surface if the sight of the monstorous abomination would surface before their eyes!

OK, maybe I am wrong about that ALL jw's end it that way. I heard it was "and through the name of Jesus Christ". But even so, why? When I pray I say "in Jesus Name, Amen", because I believe Jesus and God are one. Not an angel or king or whatever. Jesus was the human incarnation of God. So why would JW's pray to Jesus and not Jehovah????

since there are new people coming to this board on fairly regular basis with questions about the jw religion, i thought i'd pose this topic.. many, upon leaving the organization, don't really know where to turn for guidance.

"look to yourself" doesn't really cut it when you've been told how to think your whole life.. many choose atheism, which is fine.

however, for those still looking for a religion, here is a site that lists many of the worlds major religious movements.

Movie that could describe your experience as a jw?

personnally, i thing that the movie "the matrix" and the movie "the truman show" really describe my experience in the wbts.

when i discovered the truth about the "truth", my perception of the reality became really different.

all that i have been taught was just a big lie.

I saw the movie "The Lottery" a few days ago with Dan Cortez in it. It reminded me a lot of the JW religion as I know it.

There is this small town in Ohio that has a religous secret. The town has prospered because of this and no one is to tell what the secret is. No outsiders are let in and no insiders are let out. OK, maybe it doesn't have a lot in common with JW's but it reminded me of them anyway. JUST WATCH IT

i just had a scary thought.

the wt could predict something, and because of the size of their organization, actually make it come true.

lets say they had "new light" and every jw would be taken to heaven on a certain date.

Dont forget people, most current JW's do not know what is like to have a date set that is supposed to be the end of everything. If I believed that the organization that I followed knew the end date, I would be scared to death. Even though I was in the org. and thought that I would be saved, it would be scary, and I would probably do anything that was asked of me. That is how cults work. They use fear to subdue you. Lucky for dubs today, there is no "current" date being prophesized(sp?), that I know of.

Imbue, Not the JW's I know. Its all Jehovah this and Jehovah that. Why would they end their prayer with "In Jesus Name"? Dont you (they) believe that Jesus was a Man, er, Angel, er, King, um , messiah, Oh wait, no, maybe lets see, at 29 he was a ...but before that he was a ....hmmmmmmm
